In last decade I explored landscape painting and figure drawing through different materials and mediums. Self-taught, I began painting as a means of dealing with family and work issues. In latest work I created lustless images of the female and male body, highlighting emotion, perspective, and composition as major themes. Earlier I experimented with abstraction and assemblage using crashed pop cans. Recently I’m involved in making intaglio drypoint prints.
Because of my IT background I automate my search for inspiration using Python, cloud, and AI.
I start with making photographs or people, household objects, and buildings and then process them using algorithms written in Python. Then I eye-ball processed images in a search of inspiration.
I use Big Data and AI (neural nets) to facilitate search for recognizable patterns in images.
